From Competitor to Teaching Assistant
How It Started
After competing in VEX IQ for a year, I began helping younger students as a teaching assistant in lower-grade robotics classes. A coach asked if I could help during a few sessions, and I decided to give it a try.
What I Do
I work with students who are new to robotics and are building their first robots. I help them understand basic ideas like motors, gears, and testing, usually by asking questions rather than fixing things for them.

What I Learned
Teaching showed me that I understand things better when I explain them simply. It also taught me patience and reminded me that helping others succeed can be just as rewarding as competing myself.
